It seems safe to say Spawn will be all the rage, however viable he is in competitive, at his initial release. His gameplay trailer alone did more than enough to hype the already massively-hyped character, so he’s everything Mortal Kombat 11 players need to know before his release.

Spawn Early Access and Full Release Date

Spawn’s Mortal Kombat 11 release date is March 17 for Kombat Pack owners. His full release will follow a week later on March 24.

Spawn Download Time

At the time of this writing, Spawn’s specific available-to-download time has not been revealed, but it is easy enough to surmise when he will be release. Past characters have typically released at 10 AM PT/12 PM CT, including Nightwolf, Sindel, and the Joker (as examples), so this is the most logical time that Spawn could drop as well. It’s worth mentioning that this is without some unexpected delay or console-specific issue, as that has happened as well.

Spawn Gameplay in Mortal Kombat 11

Perhaps the biggest thing on everyone’s mind is how he plays and how gory his fatal blows and fatalities are. Based on his Final Kombat 2020 reveal trailer, it doesn’t seem like Spawn will disappoint. Everything from his minor animations to his standard combos to his wild and insane fatalities suggest NetherRealm went all out and saved the very best for last. His gameplay trailer is above for anyone who has not yet seen it, but it’s also worth mentioning that Spawn’s second fatality has also been recently revealed. This time around, Spawn hangs his opponent with his cape, impales them with chains, and makes their body burst with Necroplasm.

Mortal Kombat 11: Every Spawn Skin, Gear Piece, Intro, and Victory Pose

Of course, every Mortal Kombat 11 DLC character is more than just a new contestant. It’s a full set of cosmetics including but not limited to skins, gear, intros, victory poses, and so much more. Many may want to wait until Spawn officially releases to check out that content, but for those who simply cannot (and who can blame them?), the above video is provided by a content creator unCAGEDgamez who received authorized early access by publisher Warner Bros. Interactive. In other words, it’s all but an official reveal that’ll give fans an in-depth look at the coming character.

Be sure to check back in the near future for more Spawn strategy guides, news, and updates. Until then, good luck out there, Kombatants.

Mortal Kombat 11 is out now for PC, PS4, Stadia, Switch, and Xbox One.
